Larry Newman

Mr. Newman has over 50 years of accounting and tax experience in public accounting and private industry. Formerly Chief Operating Officer (COO) and director of a publicly held company, he was instrumental in the successful turnaround and sale of the company. His experience covers a number of industries, including manufacturing, technology, health care, wholesale/retail distribution, service, professional practice, commercial and residential real estate, and warehousing/trucking. He has structured various types of financial agreements, including revolving lines of credit and construction/permanent real estate loans.

Mr. Newman’s education and primary business experience is in accounting and finance. He has many years of management experience with the international public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) and as a financial executive in private industry.

Mr. Newman is a graduate of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University. He has been elected to Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, and is a current member of the National Society of Accountants and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Jonathan Newman

Jonathan Newman, president of The Newman Group attended the University of North Florida. He is an Enrolled Agent which is an extremely difficult credential to obtain that allows Mr. Newman to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service in order to resolve disputes.

Mr. Newman has a thorough understanding of accounting and taxation for dentists, law practices, air conditioning contractors, landscapers, and many other industries. Like everyone else within the firm, he prepares personal, business and trust tax returns and attends numerous tax seminars in order to stay current with the ever-changing tax laws.
